This Course Series is a college/career readiness initiative. The four Dual Enrollment courses are approved for sixteen-semester units of University of La Verne undergraduate credits.
High school students can concurrently take sixteen-semester units in child development courses that will easily apply towards:
An undergraduate degree program at the University of La Verne
Transfer credits upon completion of high school
Child Development Dual Enrollment courses meet the academic requirements for an early childhood associate teacher permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).

Early Childhood Observation & Assessment
Students in the program will be invited to apply as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at University of La Verne during their 12th grade year, and the 16 units would apply towards their bachelor’s degree. If students decide to continue in the Undergraduate Child Development Program there are several paths to choose from.
