EDUC 434         LearningAbout Latino Cultures | 3 units

EDUC 435         Methodology for Primary Language Instruction in a Bilingual Environment | 3 units

EDUC 436         Bilingualism and Bilingual Education | 3 units

Note: The bilingual teaching authorization requires field experience in a bilingual classroom and demonstration of Spanish proficiency by a passing score on CSET: Spanish subtest III (test code 147) or a passing grade in the course SPAN 314.

Admission Requirements

1. Prerequisite teaching credential (Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Education Specialist)

2. Interview with Chair of BILA program

3. SOLOM - Oral language assessment in Spanish

4. Statement of Purpose written in Spanish

5. Reading assessment in Spanish
